Heavenly decanters care of Fabulous Company

How did you get into supplying divine table and glassware?

I have always loved opulent tableware, and when I was wanting to create my own birthday party, there were no suppliers who stocked beautiful coloured glasses.

What inspires you?

Colours, shapes and texture

How many weddings and events do you do a year?

Before the covid, Fabulous was in the 2nd year & still building up a name, but I still had around 30 bookings in 2019. 2020 was looking brilliant, but hey ho.

What do you think is the most important part to factor in when planning a wedding or event?

Time management, everything takes longer than you think.

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding?

Know your budget, be true to who you are, and really think about your seating plan.

To you, what makes a wedding memorable?

When obvious attention has been given to the smallest detail.

We can’t ignore COVID and the impact that it has had on our industry, unfortunately. What longer term changes do you think we will see as a result from this?

I think it will take longer than we hope to return to the big numbers, but we will get there. Talking to my clients, those who want to have the big numbers are prepared to wait until then. Those who have always wanted a smaller wedding, it’s the perfect time for them, as now they do not have to think of an excuse as to why they shouldn’t invite Grandmothers second cousin three times removed.

What is the most satisfying part of your job?

Other than the gorgeous photographs of the finished creation, it has to be when everything has been washed, cleaned and packed away sparkling.

What question do you wish more couples asked you?

Total blank here, but maybe thats because I’m really chatty, and give out lots of information.

What is your favourite time of year for a wedding and why? In the summer I’ll say its summer weddings, as I love the warm evenings, but in the winter, and I see how beautifully the weddings are decorated, I’ll say the winter. So, I think I’m sitting on the fence for this question.

What one thing do you think would surprise people about your industry?

Just how much work goes on behind the scenes to create something that looks so calm and effortless.
