The rooms
There are three incredible bedrooms in The Bothy, sleeping up to 6 guests in total. Two bedrooms enjoy super king-size beds, with the third offering a spacious twin-bed setup. The property boasts three bathrooms – 1 bathroom with bath and toilet, 1 shower room with shower and toilet, 1 en-suite bathroom with bath and toilet.
No matter who you’re travelling with, you’ll find it easy to make yourselves at home. Whichever bedroom you choose, you’ll enjoy the tranquillity of the grounds of Minterne House, which is set amongst some of Dorset’s most jaw-dropping natural scenery and surroundings.
Facilities and amenities
Once inside, you’ll find a useful boot room, ideal for leaving your kit after a day spent exploring. Just next door is a spacious lounge complete with an inviting sofa and a TV so you can enjoy your favourite shows. Also on this floor is a pretty twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Heading upstairs, you’ll find the remaining two bedrooms, both super king-size. One room has an en-suite bathroom and the other has a shower room just opposite. Completing the accommodation is a striking open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where high ceilings really add to the sense of space. Enjoy leisurely meals around the table or light the wood burner, sit back and relax.
Outdoor space
From the ground floor lounge, doors lead out to the walled garden. Here you can enjoy your private hot tub, or perhaps light up the BBQ and dine al fresco on the patio. A connecting door gives access to the shared swimming pool and tennis court, and next to the pool you will find a fabulous festival tent for shade. You will have a daily allocated two-hour slot for sole use of the pool and tennis court.
And don’t forget, every guest of Lord Digby’s is welcome to enjoy the stunning gardens here at Minterne. With 27 acres of Himalayan rhododendrons, azaleas, cherries, maples, winding pathways and ponds, the award-winning gardens are open every day between 10 am and 6 pm. You may also wish to enquire about taking a tour of Minterne House. Lord Digby loves to share the history of this fine country house with his guests, and show them around his beloved and historic nineteenth-century home.
Guests are required to bring their own towels for the swimming pool. Please kindly note, the pool is unsupervised, and children must be accompanied at all times.
