HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1926 – 2022

HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II

1926 – 2022

Elizabeth II’s reign of 70 years and 214 days is the longest of any British monarch and the second-longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country.

As we reflect on a life that was spent in decades of service to her country, we would like to pay our deepest respects to our deceased sovereign and the Royal Family.

In 1998 HM Queen Elizabeth and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh paid a private visit to Minterne House and Gardens. A tree was planted on the lawn overlooking the lake to commemorate Her Majesty’s visit.

Please take some time to visit the garden and the tree planted by HM Queen Elizabeth and remember a life well lived. During the day the light over the lake from the rising sun and the violet of the dawn enhances the Acer Pseudoplatanus planted in 1998, where we can pay our own personal tributes to a Monarch who will never be forgotten.

The garden will be open at no cost on the day of the funeral.

Garden Open daily 10am – 6pm until 6th November.
