When planning your wedding we understand there is a lot to think about. To help plan your day we have put together our frequently asked questions for your perusal.
Can I provisionally book a date?
We can hold a date for you for two weeks after your viewing. If we have not heard from you after two weeks we will release the date.
Do we need to contact the Registrars?
As soon as you have decided on a date please ensure you check availability with the registrar. Payment for your ceremony is to be made directly with the registrars and once booked please advise us of the ceremony time.

Can we provide our own catering?
All food, with the exception of the wedding cake, is to be provided by one of our nominated caterers. If alternative caterers are required for ethnic or religious reasons this can be arranged and an additional fee will apply.
Can we supply our own alcohol?
You are welcome to supply your own drinks throughout your wedding. Corkage charges will apply if you choose not to remove all bottles. These are detailed in our wedding terms and conditions.
Can we have additional evening guests?
Absolutely! You are very welcome to have additional guests in the evening. Please discuss your plans with us and we will assist you in planning your day and evening.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
We have a lift and a ramp (if required) for guests with walking difficulties and / or wheelchairs that provides access to all the rooms. Please be aware there is no disabled toilet in the house.
Is confetti permitted on site?
Natural confetti and organic petals are permitted on the premises.
What are the bar and music finish times?
The bar and music must stop by 11.45pm to allow guests time to leave the premises by midnight. Extensions up to 2am are available on request and will incur an additional fee.
Can we decorate the House?
Yes (within reason!). If you have any unique or unusual requests then please get in touch; we’d love to hear them!
Do you supply high chairs?
We do not have any highchairs on site, however, if you require these they are available from the caterers.
Are you dog friendly?
We love dogs at Minterne and well-behaved dogs are very welcome to be a part of your special day.
Can guests park overnight?
Yes, guests can park in the guest car park overnight. However, all cars must be removed by 10am the following morning.
Can we have fireworks?
Fireworks are permitted and welcomed at Minterne House. In addition to this we also allow hand held sparklers.
