Visit The Spooky Shrubbery at Minterne Gardens & Explore The Halloween Trails
From 22nd to 31st October
Venture along the Dawn Redwood Walk and discover MEGA COBWEBS.
In the Haunted Himalayan Hut tangles of silken threads of spiders webs adorn the walls (usually covered with accumulated dirt and dust!!)
OR will you discover a Bat Cave?!
Did you know that Bats are the only mammals capable of true flight with their extremely elongated fingers and a wing membrane stretched between. The bat’s wing anatomically resembles the human hand.
Look out and listen for spooky wildlife in the undergrowth! Spiders love to come inside for the warmth in the autumn OR are they lurking under leaves amongst the cyclamens??
For those intrepid daring visitors, other frights await on this Halloween Trail – the Creepy Hydrangea Archway, the Terrifying pterocarya (wingnut tree), Deadly Davidia & Weird Wisteria walkway.
Jack-o’-Lantern is a carved pumpkin – Can you find them around the garden with their strange flickering lights? How many can you discover with monster or funny faces?
And if all this activity has given you an appetite, why not visit the Café on the Terrace and sample the Halloween Cup Cakes & Treats on offer.
